How To Avoid The Flu.......
Eat right! Make sure you get your
daily dose of fruits and veggies.
Take your vitamins, acidophilus, mineral matrix and bump up your vitamin ester
C.
Get plenty of exercise because exercise helps build your immune system.
Walk for at least an hour a day, go for a swim, take the stairs instead of the
elevator, etc.
Wash your hands often. If you can't wash them, keep a bottle of antibacterial
stuff around.
Get lots of fresh air. Open windows whenever possible.
Get plenty of rest.
Try to eliminate as much stress from your life as you can.
Beat Flu and Colds!
As you know, the sure way to fight disease, flu and colds is to eat the proper amount of fruit and veggies to become alkaline- in the 7.2-7.4 range. You should have 2-3 servings of fruit
a day and 6-8 servings of veggies per day (the ones that are beneficial to our
blood type- that is!). Unfortunately people generally get this in reverse. Try
to have your fruit portions in your morning Power drink and that is it for your
day! Snack on various, fresh, organic, raw veggies and have them also with your
lunch and dinner to achieve the 6-8 portions per day (portion is ½ cup).
If you have trouble eating all of the veggies per day, or do not like the most
beneficial to your type, try juicing a variety of them per day- enjoy this tasty
drink through a straw to minimize the air intake/ potential bloating from the
air.
Another tip- that I discovered, is to use the remaining ground veggies from the juicer and create a delicious soup here is the recipe:
Put all of the following in a pot-
using the added veggies as they suit your blood type:
-remainder from juice/ juicer
-garlic, cut ½ cooking onion, portobello mushroom- chopped, a few cut
potatoes
-sea salt and cayenne pepper to taste
-a big squeeze of fresh lemon juice, soya sauce, chicken bouillon cube, top
up with distilled water
-chopped fresh herbs- rosemary, oregano, thyme, parsley, basil
Boil and simmer, blend in a blender, serve hot or cold with a dollop of low
fat yogurt per serving. YUMMY!
